Stopped too early. Nothing was connecting when the ref stopped it.

What a fight! Just proved to me that Joe doesn't have any power, and that the extra weight didn't help him. He connected enough with power shots, but it didn't have any effect. Wardley said he was never hurt. Mrs D., who's a martial artist, said that Joe doesn't follow thru with his punches once they land, and they only hit the surface. Joe hit Wardley with everything but the kitchen sick, with little effect.
I thought Joe was in trouble at the end of the 10th. In the 11th, many of Wardley's punches did miss, but Joe wasn't throwing back except for one or two punches. Personally, I wouldn't have stopped and would have waited to see if Joe went down. But Joe was really hurt, and I thought it was a good stoppage.

shit!!! I had a dreaded feeling last night that JP would lose
I see the road back is now too long and think JP should get out and enjoy his family... he prepared well and was in great shape but it wasn't enough - time to think of the future

Yep, needs to retire. He should have taken a knee before the stoppage.

Wow, just thinking that if JP had won, he was due for a minimum $60M payday. And Andy Lee would get at least 7% of that.
