Unbeaten cruiserweight KO artist Deon Nicholson (13-0, 12 KOs) was taken the distance for the first time against a very game Earl Newman (10-3-1, 7 KOs). Nicholson started fast in round one and nearly got a stoppage, but Newman weathered the storm and gave Nicholson all he could handle after that in going the full ten. Scores were 97-93, 96-94, 96-94 for Nicholson.

In an all out war, super welterweight Clay Collard (6-2-3, 2 KOs) surprisingly stopped previously unbeaten Raymond Guajardo (5-1, 4 KOs) in two savage rounds. In round one, Collard dropped Guajardo twice, then Guajardo dropped Collard. Collard responded by hurting Guajardo again. Collard unloaded on Guajardo again in round two and the bout was stopped. Time was 1:42. Fight of the year?

Unbeaten super lightweight Omar Juarez (7-0, 4 KOs) scored an eight round unanimous decision over journeyman Angel Martinez (19-19-1, 12 KOs). Juarez dropped Martinez in round seven and went on to win 80-71, 80-71, 79-73.

18-year-old welterweight Jesus Ramos (12-0, 11 KOs) battered game late sub Ramal Amanov (16-2, 5 KOs) over six rounds. Amanov’s corner pulled him out between rounds six and seven.

Unbeaten lightweight Michel Rivera (18-0, 12 KOs) scored a tenth round TKO over Fidel Maldonado Jr. (27-5-1, 20 KOs). Rivera appeared headed to a unanimous decision when he dropped Maldonado in round ten and got the stoppage with his follow-up barrage. Time was 1:40.

Not a great fight. Dallas Jr. quit in his corner for no apparent reason, other than he didn't want to fight anymore:
