I'm in Christchurch at the moment and not far from this fight venue but couldn't really justify paying $40 for one fight (I'm not into corporate or kick boxing).

Neither haha and I only live about 10 mins away.

I met Nort tonight at the Cashmere club, there was a big amateur boxing night going on, I was there with a mate watching the France/Argentina game. He was quite surprised when a 'pommie' said well done on your win the other night mate. I didnt  want to bother him too much as he was clearly having Abit of a family night. I hope he goes well though, needs to fight outside of NZ, there's no one near his size, let alone near his boxing capability here.

Do you have a link for this? Boxrec is slating the Light/Broadhurst fight but not the Berridge/Hooper one. Looks an absolute cracker of a bill.

Check again in 24 hours or so mate, Robbie signed in the last couple of days and I'm told Hooper has to but I did write if they check out for a reason.
Both boys have had injury troubles and pull outs in the past

I thought he had hung up the gloves after the technical decision loss to Ryan Ford but according to boxrec he also had a fight in Auckland late last year against a Thai opponent. Good to see him back. Any info on his upcoming opponent?

I looked him up on boxrec and actually I have seen Damien Hooper fight, he was on the undercard to the Horn-Pacquaio fight in Brisbane and handed Umar Salamov his first career loss. So will be interesting to see how he goes against the Butcher!

Looked up Damien Hoo, and couldn't find him anywhere. Thanx for posting that it was HooPER! Robbie retired when he should have. Wish he would have stayed retired. Sam Rapira came out of retirement, and looked what happened to him. Almost lost his eye.
