Could be a good addition to what is already NZ's best division.

Yeah fair call, I just assumed as Hackney's last fight was against Sam Rapira for the NZ light heavy title it was at light heavy. Although it was less than a year ago he was fight Taihia for the NZ super middle bauble. Also he could have stepped up to cruiser (although doubtful as he's so well conditioned).

Boxrec have him ranked as a Lighty Heavy but that doesn't make it a certainty. Plenty of opposition in that division so hopefully he stays busy!

Boxrec ratings are hilarious, they have Nik the Greek rated behind Andrew Robinson, even though he outpointed him convincingly in his last fight. Its like they have an 8 year old as head of there ratings department, oh wait a minute so do the WBA.

Beat Thomas Heads on points last night in Invercargill, out again in 2 weeks down in Christchurch. At last he seems to be getting a head of steam up.
