I have mixed feelings as I see JJ just being all wrong for JP especially with that engine so going in heavy and trying to bang I admire and feel he gained more respect than if he had lost timid looking. I believe this JP could avenge his loses to Whyte and AJ -pick up a win over a Hygovic and one or 2 others and thats a very very good career.

And I was thinking JJ was all "right" for JP. Coming forward, wide open for power shots and combos. I think with JJ's defense, JP thought this was an easy night. Even Lee said so. What they didn't count on was JJ's concrete face and body. It must be a scary thought(s) to hit JJ with everything he had with little to no effect as he keeps coming forward. Even a little creepy.
Gotta see Wilder/JJ to see if Wilder can penetrate his concrete body and face. Of course, Wilder won't like being on the back foot...

Fury says he’s withdrawn offer to Joshua
FacebookTwitterReddit WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has announced that he’s withdrawn the 60/40 offer he made to Anthony Joshua to fight on December 3. Tyson Fury: “Well guys, it’s official. D-day has come and gone. It’s gone past 5PM Monday. No contract has been signed. It’s officially over for Joshua. He is now out in the cold with the wolfpack. Forget about it. Idiot, coward, shithouse, bodybuilder. Always knew it. Always knew he didn’t have the minerals to fight the Gypsy King. Regardless of what the f**k you say now, I don’t really care. Good luck with your career and your life. End of. Peace out.” Rumor has it that Fury may now face former WBA heavyweight champion Mahmoud Charr.

Sounds like a mano-mano contract. Take the contract now or forget it. Hearn says forget it. I think Hearn and AJ shoulda signed, as this is the best fight he's gonna get with huge money in the UK.

I'm starting to side with AJ on this, I have always been a Fury fan but his bullshit is getting to me. I think its him not really wanting AJ fight before Uysk as even he sees it as too much risk v reward and losing to AJ would really damage his brand. Fury wanted Chisora who he already beat twice and found out no one not even his gypsy family want to watch that, now he has gone through all this mucking AJ around to then fight the level he wants and that fight is Charr- thats what we will get feed - AJ was scared so I need a fight and Charr a former title challenger is best available.. blah blah.
These guys are also former Tyson fans https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDLl1va7_S0

Great discussion by those three. Very knowledgeable. I do disagree that it was a great fight. I think JJ beat up a very game fighter. If JJ was also hurt and in trouble, yes, it would have been a great fight.
They don't like Fury's antics? When has he been any different? I think AJ should just say yes to the fight. It's like f**k you. Let's make it happen. Especially since Fury is mostly just posturing and wants to fight Charr. Then, when Fury starts to back out, Fury becomes the coward. A bold move would be for Fury to fight JJ. Maybe early next year after JJ gets some time off.

Fury will retire again before he has to fight JJ mark my words
The reason AJ may not sign is nothing do with the fight or the split it will be in the peripherals in the contract that will be made to control AJ /TV etc. Just like why JP turned down the first JJ contract from Warren who is a gangster

Warren a gangster? I thought that was Don King. You mean that boxing is corrupt? Just a thought. JP was behind by three points on one card and two on another. If he had knocked down JJ in the 11th or 12th and won the other round it would have been a majority draw.
I agree. No way that contract would have been favorable to AJ. But it's up to Hearn to make it right for AJ. |
