for 2 guys who usually can't talk they had a pretty good press conference, even a shove at the face 2 face

Here's the presser, bart. I'll look for the video, or someone else can post it.

Just saw yesterday that we had 271 visitors! Didn't know if it were spam or the All Day Boxing thread.

Good find, bart. Saw that Joyce was the heavyweight champ in the WBA with a gc by his name, whatever that means.

Great that Joe is sparring with Joyce.

Unbeaten heavyweights collide Feb 21

On February 21, Russian heavyweight Apti Davtaev (19-0-1, 18 KOs) will make a quick return to the ring in an eight-round showdown against fellow undefeated John Napari (21-0, 15 KOs) of Accra, Ghana. Davtaev-Naparias will be a chief supporting bout on an Akhmat Promotions event at the Dynamo Palace of Sports in Krylatskoye, Moscow, featuring undefeated Russian super welterweight champion Islam “The Sniper” Edisultanov’s (9-0, 6 KOs) domestic battle against Evgeny Terentiev (15-2, 7 KOs).

Davtaev was last seen January 10 of this year, scoring a TKO3 over Keith Barr at Ocean Resort Casino, Atlantic City.

GC is for Gold Champion. Another WBA belt that was added sometime last year.

Thanks for that beefstew.  But who did he beat to get the GC?  Jennings?  Or did the WBA just have a warm spot in their heart for Joyce?  And how about Charr?  How did he get his designation as wc?  While we're at it, Trevor Bryan is still the WBA #1 contender.  He's fought nobody in the past 18 months!

I believe he picked it up against Stiverne. The WBA now has four heavyweight titles......

The WBA (and others) invent these bollocks sub-Titles to gain more $$ in sanctioning fees... other words they mean diddly squat. The holder no closer to a full title than any other top 10 contender
