Agree Danny - Meehan is the fight I want, but Duco not keen on the $100k he wants.
Guess that makes the claim that Minto got $100k seem very unlikely.

Funny how a lot of those fighters in the top ten, Meehan included, haven't fought in 2015.  I bet Minto got $100,000.  This was after he stopped Cameron, so that fight was huge, as Minto was on the NZ scene.  Duco always drives a hard bargain, and Meehan would get the same if he negotiates well.  $100,000 vs what they make at the gate and PPV is nothing.  Now saving money on the undercard is a different issue.

Gothe, read the link, and yes, it was funny.  But you can't expect an organisation to remember when fighters are alive or dead.  4 alphabets, 15 fighters per, that's 60 fighters that gets circulated around the 4 alphabets.  They've got a hard job keeping track.  Don't they have other jobs in addition to keeping track of who's dead or alive?  And BTW, where's Shannon Briggs now?  I wanted him to fight Parker.  Is he still alive?

Found him!  Number 5 in the WBA.  Bring him to NZ.

I would have thought being dead would get you removed from any rankings - unless you died looking good (he was robbed!)

Briggs would be good, but he appears to have delusions of grandeur about fighting Klitschko or Wilder

Yes, but you have to tell them you are dead. How else would they know? So a couple of years of not hearing from the ranked fighter, you call him up, and the new owner of the home answers. Uh, he's dead.

Briggs needs to fight SOMEBODY before he fights Klit or Wilder. Klit fights Fury, then Wilder, then ??? Briggs has a long, long, wait, and he's not getting any younger.

Apparently HBO are saying Briggs has no chance to fight Klitschko.

" I think we need someone who’s a little more in their prime and ready to go to try and take that title from him.”

Unless Briggs gets a big payday, I don't see why he'd fight Parker though

Wow - Anthony Joshua rated #2 by WBC. He could get to fight the winner of Povetkin / Wilder

Wow and they say Parkers ranking is based on hype alone

Kevin Johnson was already a has been when Joshua fought him, winning one of his last seven fights.

Good opponent for Joshua in Johnson. Crafty veteran. But neither he nor Parker has fought a top 20 guy yet.

Wilder looked rubbish against Molina. Looks very hittable

Tried to find it via live streaming. Yep, Wilder can be wild with his punches. Be interested to see who he fights next.
