Canelo easily chops down Fielding in 3

WBA/WBC middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez (50-1-2, 34 KOs) moved up a division to dethrone WBA super middleweight champion Rocky Fielding (27-1, 15 KOs) by third round KO on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The much shorter Canelo went to work right away dropping Fielding in round one with a crunching left hook to the body. Rocky was down a second time in round two from another Canelo left hook to the body. Canelo continued to overwhelm Fielding dropping him twice in the third, finishing him with a left hook to the body. The referee waved off the bout at 2:38 of the third. With the win, Canelo becomes one of four Mexicans to win world titles in three different weight classes.
