Carlos Takam's training disrupted by presence of Joseph Parker's camp
Carlos Takam cancels sparring session after Kevin Barry's son spotted outside gym on Thursday night. Carlos Takam's sparring session was cancelled in Auckland on Thursday night due to the presence of someone from Joseph Parker's camp. Fairfax Media understands Taylor Barry, Kevin Barry's 21-year-old son, was lurking outside Boxing Alley while Takam was preparing for a sparring session with local heavyweight Junior Fa. Once Taylor Barry, who regularly films Parker's training sessions for social media, was spotted he was confronted outside the gym and eventually left. But Takam decided to end the session before it started for fear of his tactics getting back to the Parker camp. "Somebody in the gym must have spoke with someone in the Parker camp and said he was training there," Cherchi said. "Somebody went outside and he left very soon. "I think they want to unsettle us but it was not a big problem for Carlos. He laughed about it. He's relaxed. I think they are more nervous about this fight." So much for my prep work?? 8:45 PM - 12 May 2016 Takam has been reluctant to reveal his fight strategy since arrive in New Zealand. This incident will only fuel the paranoia for the Cameroon-born Frenchman ahead of a career-defining IBF eliminator on May 21 in Manukau. Cherchi said Takam sparred six rounds earlier this week but any further training would be kept secret. "He will spar again but this time I will close the doors. We have decided we don't want to tell anybody where we train." Duco Events, Parker's promoters, declined to comment. - Stuff

Putting my money on Takam. This is a 50/ 50 fight for me. I won't surprised with either guy winning. Hoping for a Parker victory so I can enjoy the after function

Stu keeps his plans close to his vest. Stu's ok, it's Lonergan who's the problem.

Was there actual discussions between the Parker camp and Takam's camp? Were they keen for the fight with Parker? |
