Andy lee wow hadn't thought of him, he is very intelligent boxing brain. He assisted Sugar Hill with Tyson as he was a Kronk trained fighter under Manny Stewart.
I would have been happy with any of the others mentioned (with Shane MacGuigen my last choice as I don't see them gelling ).
Wonder if he will train out of kronk?

I know nothing about the guy. Hopefully he can get Joe's offense right
Good fighter going back to the last decade, lost a close decision to Billy Joe Saunders when defending his WBO world title in 2015, and as mentioned, has done good things assisting Tyson Fury in his comeback. A Kronk member.

Over the years many have said Parker should go with a "Kronk" trainer
Well - now it's happening
Will be fascinating to see what happens...

More of a Kronk environment, with their stable of fighters for sparring. Kronk used to be a hot basement place in Detroit. Not sure it's still there. Steward was trying to raise money to keep it afloat before he died.
Always thought Andy Lee was hyped like mad as an Irish boxer, and never lived up to the hype although he was certainly a top boxer. Just found out now that he's a trainer. Article said he retired as a boxer in 2017.

Lee retired with a 35-3-1 record, but it’s who he worked with during that time that gives a far greater clue to how he can bring the best out in Parker.
Before finishing his career with top English trainer Adam Booth, Lee worked with the late Emanuel Steward at his famous Kronk Gym.

Gotta say I'm a million times more excited about Andy Lee than Ben Davidson or even Shane McGuigan but I can't train with Barry coes he's overseas but I can train with Lee??? It can't be as amicable as they made out surely

If Parker is to be fighting in the UK then it makes sense to have a UK trainer.
I'm not sure of the details but I'm guessing Parker would need to quarantine when coming into the UK if he still lived in the US with KB. Much easier for Parker to come from NZ to the UK, then no need to quarantine before the fight.

The fact that JP has taken off to the UK so quickly tells me he is up for this. Del has given JP loads of shit over the years. Andy Lee will bring out the best version of JP in the short period of time....I'm a believer
