Not NZ boxing related, but I thought as you're all boxing fans you'd be kind of interested. A friend of mine Dan Woodgate is fighting for the Southern area cruiserweight title in England next month. (Southern area is basically a regional title fought for before you attempt fighting for the newly formed English or British title). Unfortunately I won't be there to see it (probably fortunate for him as the only times I've been around to see him fight live are both his defeats). Heres a nice little ko from a couple of years back.

Yeah, did you manage to see his fight? Dan said he spoke to him after and he didn't have a clue who he was.

That's pretty funny. Was Woody annoyed "Machoman" didn't even recognize him, or did he think it was a laugh?
He should have done a mock interview as a reporter, getting him to say what he was going to do to Dan Woodgate, then watched his face at the weigh in

Yeah he was alright about it, said the usual stuff like he'll know who I am 27feb. Looking at the guys record I see he won a prizefighter tournie in the UK.
