RE: Free Sky Pop-Up, March 5th - diehard - 03-05-2017 Upset: Bellew TKOs Haye in eleven In an intense grudge match, WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew (29-2-1, 19 KOs) scored an eleventh round TKO over former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (28-3, 26 KOs) on Saturday night at the O2 Arena in London. 5:1 underdog Bellew dropped Haye in round six with a barrage of punches. Haye gamely continued favoring an injured right leg. Bellew knocked Haye through the ropes in round eleven and Haye’s corner threw in the towel. Time was 2:16. March 4th, 2017 RE: Free Sky Pop-Up, March 5th - diehard - 03-05-2017 Haye was in command until the 6th, when he got caught. After that, he tried to survive, and hit Bellew with some power shots. Both guys were sloppy. Bellew would not be able to compete at heavyweight. Too sloppy, and no power. Haye should retire. Agree with all of that but Bellew could get some good paydays at HW now funnily enough after that. I still expect him to return to CW having said that. |
