Just very sad all round and a great blow for JP who by all accounts had been training the house down. Deep breath.. now, how can Duco patch this up and deliver an event on May 6th? I think it can be salvaged . First thing is to re begotten the purse for this fight with Joseph . Because that is where the risk is. Paying 4 Million in prurses is crazy for nz . Good on Duco for paying so much so we can have down here. Deontay was paid half joe purse in the USA in feb and Washington got 250 i from memory not 1.2 like hughie was getting. If they lose a boat load it will be hard to win the bid again . Hopefully wbo don't re purse bid it RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - NakiFan - 04-24-2017 I still call BS. Lower back injuries are the easiest area to fake. Doctor- " So Hughie where does it hurt?" Hughie- "Ummmm, my lower back." Doctor pokes the lower back. Hughie says "ouch". Fight off. RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - markk - 04-24-2017 Also when is the drug hearing as that will now be in play again RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - mippy - 04-24-2017 (04-24-2017, 09:09 AM)Veritas Wrote: Is this posturing for advantage? - I don't know. A charitable view could see a correlation between not wanting to fly economy class with a back injury, and trying to move the fight to the UK to avoid the flight. I'm not sure though.. Nah they are just con artists. RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - Nablonicasso - 04-24-2017 Duco offered two business class so that doesn't gel. Fury's Doc said 3 or 4 weeks last Friday so jump on a plane get your back soaking in some NZ hot pools and we can have 3 or 4 weeks of extra promotion. Fight can still happen RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - mippy - 04-24-2017 Quote:Ironically, Higgins predicted on air that Fury might cite a back problem. He was suspicious and believed there may be another reason, such as Fury being knocked out during sparring. I wonder what he heard RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - shamrock - 04-24-2017 AAAAAAAARHHHHHH for a true Parker Lovers forum. All hate and escape... No other point of view suffices... Well at least everyone gets on well.. RE: Parker vs Hughie Fury - NakiFan - 04-24-2017 The UK Fury supporters on other boxing forums are saying as much Sham.
