You're always welcome to pick up my slack mate!

Interesting, i noticed that Hepi was meant to face Dempsey Mckean who is down to fight 10 days earlier in Melbourne anyway. I hope Lam's managed to shift a few pounds, he's got some real nice boxing skills but wont get far being so big.
Yup at least 30-40 kgs. I think this is a 6 round fight too.

Wow, that's half of me. Good luck to him.

That's how much I think he should lose by the way haha. Doubt he will but would be far better off if he did.
Hmmm. In that case he'll be doing well to last 6x3 min rounds. Shame its not over 4.
Sefo Falekaono's 6th round stoppage loss to Jai Opetaia in Aussie went a little under the radar. Falekaono looked good taking Robbie Berridge to the extra round in the mini light heavy tournie at sky city last year (although I really think Berridge has outgrown the shorter format). Since then Sefo's had a couple of wins before the loss to the promising amateur Opetaia. Would be good to see him in the mix over here.
Batman crossing the Tasman to fight on Green undercard

James Langton, will fight in Australia to fight on the undercard of Danny Green.

An unexpected call will see pro boxer James 'Batman' Langton head across the Tasman to fight highly ranked cruiserweight Mark Flannagan.

Langton will meet Flannagan in Melbourne on August 3 for the IBO and IBF Australasian titles on the undercard of Danny Green when he meets Kane Watts.

Having lost to Lance Bryant less than four weeks ago, Langton had thought his next bout would be against the same opponent in Masterton later in the year.

However, after Flannagan's scheduled opponent was forced to pull out, Langton was offered the opportunity by the fight's promoter.

"It's a big opportunity to beat this guy and jump into the top 100 in the world," Langton said.

Flannagan, 26, who is ranked 50th in the world and No 2 in Australia, has a 19-4 win-loss record, with Langton, 42, slipping to 10-5 after his latest defeat.

"It's just a huge opportunity," Langton added. "With the [dairy] payout the way it is I need the cash. I definitely know I'm going in as the underdog but I never got into boxing to worry about my record, it was about seeing where it could take me and it's taking me to Melbourne, so the journey continues."

Although he took two weeks off after the Bryant fight, Langton was more than confident he would be in good shape for the fight.

"It's not the best time for me but I've worked long hours and trained before, so it can be done. It's just about having a good diet and looking about yourself. It's simply too good an opportunity, I just have to take it."

While the fight was scheduled for 12 rounds, Langton had his doubts it would go the distance.

"I'm going over their to win and we are going to try and get on top of him early. I want the fight as short as possible. I just can't see the fight going the distance, someone is going to get knocked out early."

Trainer Colin Smith will accompany Langton to Melbourne four days before the bout along with his wife while they have also been offered a corner man to work with. He plans to return a day after the fight.
