with his best intentions at heart? or to line their pockets while they could?
does the Whyte fight make sense following so quickly on the heels of the huge Joshua bout?
has Joe received the training advice he needed since the Takam fight?
what happened between Dean and David? is Higgins in the pocket of Hearns?
The Whyte fight is a fight that team Parker should take 10 times out of 10. Parker was a favourite (I lost £100 @4/5), and should of won easily but was too lazy early on. Duco needs to push for a fight with Chisora in my opinion now, seems the most obvious step. More cash and he should beat Chisora. The two fights plus the Dave Allen fight restored my faith a little in heavyweight boxing.

great post Craig i agree with you....Chisora parker next would be a great fight..lol
Also agree with you, Craig. If Joe got in tip top shape, both muscular wise and stamina wise, and fought each round, he'd have won without a problem. It was a good fight to take. Instead, KB talks about how he got quality sparring, with fighters using rough tactics similar to Whyte. Yes, that's a start, but Parker was not taught HOW to handle the rough tactics when it happened. But that's not the main issue. Whyte was able to hit Joe at will with his jab and body shots. Joe says he didn't realise Whyte's reach on the jab. Didn't he look at the "tale of the tape?"
He needs time off, get the hunger back. Talk with mentors and get a new trainer. He has stalled and it is evident. When there's no fire in the heart go get some fuel!!! Go spend time with family and sit down and figure out your real goals in life. Hopefully Tua pays him a visit and they can talk about what its like to be at the bottom of the barrel.

Yep, after the KB/Peewww fiasco, Tua had about 7 fights against nobody's leading up to the Barrett fight, making no money in empty arena's. That won't happen to Joe, as Mr Higgins will take good care of him, and Stu will match him well. Still, it's an uphill struggle to get back.

I don't think the issue is his hunger. He's hungry. His problem is his training methods and KB.
I thought he would beat Whyte comfortably, he made over a million NZD for it (put into perspective thats more than any all black will get this year) and had he won there were two sanctioning body regional belts which = rankings

I slate Duco a lot but they actually did well to get him back on that stage so fast, I was expecting the likes of Daniel Martz and co at Manukau again for a while.

The performance really has to be on Parkers shoulders, his team did well for him

And KB's. His body was out of shape, and he had no answers for Whyte's methods. Can't remember names, but most of the guys who fought Klit in his prime made between half a million to a million for a title fight. As you say, Joe made just over a million.

Yeah I think Parker has to shoulder the blame here, KB was really trying to motivate him between rounds but Joe still looked very lazy and uninterested. Joe looked great in round 1, if only he could have kept that performance up...

Yes the do with the limited resource behind them. He'll continue making big money as well by taking fights like this.
