is this televised?

No its not unfortunately.
This would be interesting. He looks massive in photos when he is chucking the tin around in the gym so a lot of work to make weight unless he's going to fight at cruiser

Maybe it's not time to hang them up. #TEAMBUTCHER

He JUST fought his mandatory.  Something Klit didn't do for 4 years.  Wilder, AJ, and now Parker never fight the top contenders every fight.  Personally, I want to see AJ/Wilder, the two best fighters out there, who have had their belts a lot longer than Parker.

And hey, you guys go easy on the name calling.  Please?

Not sure what you are referring to. Is "The Butcher" fighting again?
Not sure but his Facebook post gives that indication. When he retired he talked about hanging them up (gloves)
Interesting. Stu was looking at some good match-ups between NZ/OZ. I think it was in reference to Browne/Parker if it happens in OZ. I suggested that Berridge/Caparello rematch each other. Berridge lost to Caparello several years ago by UD when he knocked Caparello down and I think Berridge won that fight. I told Stu that "The Butcher" might want to come out of retirement for that fight.
A really intriguing fight coming up on Friday, Shay Brock, unbeaten but has been down a few times against by far his hardest test Gunnar Jackson. Jackson has mixed with world class but has fallen short. I guess Brock starts favourite but its how much Gunnar has left (and how much he wants it). Light middle has got to be NZ best division with Bowyn Morgan and Cairo George also in the mix.
Derbyshire faces tough first test of NZ boxing title

Wellington boxer Asher Derbyshire makes the opening defence of his New Zealand cruiserweight title this week.

Asher Derbyshire is hardly a big name in New Zealand boxing – but he does have a big asset.

That's a New Zealand title from arguably the most credible of the local boxing bodies, the New Zealand Professional Boxing Association.

On Saturday that cruiserweight belt is up for grabs at the Indian Cultural Centre in Kilbirnie, Wellington, when he meets Napier's Tipene Maniapoto, a boxer and kickboxer whose only boxing loss was at the hands of Sam Rapira.

The orthodox Derbyshire was scheduled to face another fighter with kickboxing credentials, Zane Hopman, but Hopman pulled out with a knee injury.

On paper Derbyshire's 8-3-1 record isn't brilliant, but those three losses came at the hands of fighters with international experience, including Israel Adesanya and Lawrence Tauasa.

This is Derbyshire's first defence of his title and it appears he's stepping straight into a difficult defence against a fighter with a 5-1 record who went the distance against former light-heavyweight title-holder Rapira.

The Kilbirnie resident won't have to travel far for his fight, it's almost literally in his backyard.

The main undercard bout was to feature another Wellington scrapper Cory Enoka against Clint Foai but Enoka will now face Thomas Russell, who made his debut against Nick Charalampous earlier this month on Shane Cameron's promotion in Auckland and not only went the distance but provided real resistance against a far-more-experienced opponent.
