And he's our next big smaller-weight prospect. Nz boxing Is a low standard. Gosh, the Argentine has a horrid record.

How do you come up with that when Bowyn Morgan has beat much better opponents and easily beat Murphy in the ams??? Shay beats Murphy comfortably to in my books.
Just coes Monty Betham says it it doesn't mean a thing as it appears he doesn't even check records before chatting utter dribble on Sky Tv.
This is no knock on Murphy as I like the kid but I was hurting myself with laughter when Betham says this guy as been dominating the division domestically but then follows it up with I think Murphy has been out for a while. His hand problems have been no secret and his record is pumped up you would think Betham being an 'expert' commentator as he is described would take the time to find such things out
I agree it was a very tough first fight back but hindsight is a wonderful thing and Murphy isn't getting any younger and you have to have a crack at some point.
I'm a proud kiwi and have wanted to see guys do well. Even giving them the benefit of the doubt. But I criticise it because I love the sport. And I think tonight exposed NZ boxing badly. This was a showcase for the next batch. They all looked sub par. You can't tell me any of these guys will go anywhere. I wish them well, just being realistic though. This 7-1 argie will clean up NZ. I just don't understand the poor level. Bowyn went life and death with gunnar Jackson. Fair enough, but those aren't world level performances. Boxing in nz is like the antithesis of the state of rugby In NZ. In rugby NZ there's great competitiveness and desire to succeed, so you find that extra step, extra trick, extra km/hr to make it. Boxing NZ doesn't have that it seems.
Craig Thomson told me he'd signed up a useful Argentine who was thinking of emigrating. It seems he is pretty handy. Nice win against Murphey. Great that boxing's back on sky and free, I do wonder how far Shay Brock can go though. He needs to go fight in Aussie treading water in NZ is not ideal.
That Argentine is the real deal. Looked great against Murphy. Dominated him. Murphy got in some clean shots, but just didn't have the power to stop him coming forward.

I thought Brock looked ok. Now he needs a step up.
Great fight tomorrow with the Butcher against Ryan Ford in Singapore. Mike Angove is there now, so hopefully it'll be on TV. I'll check:

Not sure if it's being screened on Tv Die but I know that it will be shown via live stream on the Ringstar Facebook Page
Just spoke to Mike, said it was on locally in Singapore but not in NZ. I think Singapore is 4 hours behind us, so it'll be 2AM NZ time if it starts at 10PM in NZ. Think I'll go to bed before then.
Interesting that Robbie posted off for one last hurrah on his facebook page with a pic of his team leaving for Singapore... must be getting close to the end for him.
Robbie lost by TD. What's a TD?
