Let’s get this cooking’: Sonny Bill Williams keen for boxing showdown with Paul Gallen

Sonny Bill Williams is ready for his next sporting challenge — taking on former Blues captain Paul Gallen in a boxing bout that will be of huge interest to league and union fans in Australia and across the Tasman.

The fight has long been mooted, but there has been no confirmation the bout would happen — until now.

"I've heard for some time now he has wanted to fight me," Williams said. "Well, provided we both get through our seasons OK, he will get what he wants. I don't back away from challenges. Let's get this thing cooking."

And, with that, it will be on.
I'd have to favour Gallen for that fight, SBW has been out of the ring for a long time.

Not something I'd pay to watch.
These rugby players need to stay out of the ring
Mose Auimatagi is moving up two weight divisions to fight Adrian Taihia on big bash 7, looks a cracking fight.
Afa Tatupu went down in 1 to Herman Ene Purcell last night
Sad. King Afa should have retired after the Parker fight. He's had a good career.
Is tonight's Big Bash on TV???
Gutted, just see it isn't. If anyone comes across any Facebook streams or similar can they please post a link on here.
Just watched the Fa - Tai fight and he didn't look great. He actually looked as if he was terrified to lose, so he was kind of too apprehensive to let any meaningful combinations fly. Just a left then right cross here and there among the single jabs. I could only count a handful of body shots. Tai did well to be allusive and duck and weave and get inside him; even connecting with a heavy shot or two. I think Fa needs to be more aggressive if he wants to go anywhere. Going by today's performance - a Takam or Chisora level guy would knock him out in the middle rounds, quite convincingly.
