Wow. That's the power of a dominant promoter. Eddie Hearn pushes Browne out of the commonwealth title so his guy, Joshua, can have it in an easy bout. And that's a real title!
Browne hasn't defended it since April 2014, and had no intention of doing so until after his Chagaev fight, so that could be 2 years or more without sanctioning fees - so can't really blame the CBC. They like to have their belts defended at least once a year- $$$

All Hearn (or Duco) had to do was offer sanctioning fees (and maybe a sweetner), and the belt was theirs.
I guess Hearn could offer AJ defending it against Whyte before the end of the year and maybe even Price/Chisora etc. early next year.

Completely agreed.... And despite the fact that Team Parker have been calling out Browne all this time, who won that battle....?
This should be promoted as the battle of the tats!
Hatton eases Browne frustrations, lines up Basile on August 14

The only names I recognise on Basile's 11 losses are Dimitrenko, Nascimento (both KO 1) and Szpilka (KO4). Basile wins battle for best tats though. Browne will be rapt to get a fight
So, if Baby Joseph would have fought Basile, would people have complained? Sham?

Absolutely!! Especially coming off the back of Chauncy Welliver..
At least we know its an interim fight and Browne is looking to step it up big time
Wow, he was so promising a few months ago..
