Guys I think Ortiz would smash Fury. Fury has only been mAde something of since throwing three more punches than Klit, and klit was a punchbag. Ortiz would bowl them all in my opinion. .. for what it's worth

Ortiz footwork is plodding, his work rate is not that high, his stamina is suspect and he's able to be pushed backwards, plenty of flaws there. Add in that he's 37 years old  could grow old overnight at any point now, and been caught juicing TWICE.

HBO push Ortiz a lot and he did produce a lovely ko against a Jennings who was kind enough to lay his head in Ortiz chest and drop his arms to his sides but I do not for a second think Ortiz is the boogeyman he's made out to be.

I think stylistically he can take a few of the guys in the top 10 but I don't think he matches up well at all with fury.

wilder, haye and to an extent Joshua are the guys dangerous to fury, not Ortiz, but ironically I'd pick Ortiz over wilder and possibly the other two

Nobody with plodding feet is beating fury
I don't rate Fury at all. His only great win was against a passive Klit. Doesn't mean I wouldn't change if he beat Klit again, and then beat Wilder, AJ, or Ortiz. Then he'd be the real deal. Before Klit, no one rated him.

The positive with Ortiz is that he's a southpaw, big puncher, and knows how to fight.
Thanks inferno I appreciate your reply, the only comeback at that is Joe Louis who worked in half steps and mostly always able to set his punches up.. Ortiz?
I personally have rated fury for time, if i go outside of his fight with wlad

I mean fury has been doubted for a LONG time, literally years, we always had people saying david price was way better etc etc, then it was he's going to lose to chisora, then it was when he steps up he's gonna get ko'd than haye was gonna ko him twice instead of ducking him, then chisora was going to beat him in the rematch, then klitschko was gonna ko him in 2 rounds.

Get the idea? Who ever had a good word to say about fury?

Yet we give Pulev credit for his win over a chisora who fury schooled twice and stopped? Fury got no credit twice for that?

People say Fury a bum with no skills?

No skills? he's got great movement, very good jab, punch variety, handspeed, can fight inside, can brawl, can box on the back foot, can do 12 rounds at pace, what's missing exactly?

And this man is only 27 and has had quite the career already

He doesn't have top level punch power and his 6 pack ain't the best in the world but jesus christ

whens this guy getting any credit?

While I do agree with that, Joe Louis wasn't fighting any 6'9" movers with 89" reach...
Infern0, I didn't mean that Fury can't fight. Just the opposite. I was sticking up for him on this website when others said he was rubbish. I just don't think his win against Klit proved anything as much as it showed how cautious Klit was. Now, Fury probably had something to do with that, but we'll never know because Klit punked out.

If he beats Klit (again), and beats one of the other champs, he'll definitely get my vote as one of the best, if not the best, right now. Verdict is still out with me. And he's no bum, and had good wins against Chisora. I think you just rate him higher than me and Sham do. Right now.

To be fair to Whyte, he's coming off a brutal KO loss and a shoulder reconstruction so IMO he's allowed one gimme. He's set to fight Dave Allen next for the British title I think
Dave Allen is literally dreadful
I tinkin I might get a fight if I pay my own way there
